In 2001 the District Directs from New England is response to Wayne Hartshorn
Region B Director sat down to discuss the possibility of a combined rally in New
England. After some discussion and presentations from some states as to who
should be the first state to hold the combined rally ,Vermont got the go ahead
with Rhode Island going second. Each state was give duties and a second state
would be the backup. After several meetings and much mashing of teeth we all
agreed to share the responsibility of this event. The people who took a chance
and got the ball rolling are as follows. Martin and Arleen Santor VT DD, John
Fortini and Lynne (Cyr) Fortini MA DD, Jack and Pat Blais NH DD, Mike Cyr, Allen
Cyr and Rick and Denise McCain ME
DD, Rose DeGraff CT DD, Bob and Judy Burns RI DD, Lorraine and Earl Knight RI
CD, Joe and Donna Wheeler Region B Coordinators.
This group of pictures are
those who were part of the building stage but not DD's for the first rally. All
of these people were instrumental in getting the rally started.
